[First entry here in Latin.]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I read<strong> On Friendship<\/strong>, <strong>On Old Age<\/strong>, and <strong>The Orations Against Catiline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people call <strong>On Old Age<\/strong> a work of philosophy. But to me it is more like an op-ed, or a magazine piece. I&#8217;m not taking anything away from its merits, but no one today calls op-ed writers or magazine writers philosophers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I found the <strong>The Orations against Catiline<\/strong> tiresome. All one note.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sources I read on Cicero praised his Latin style. Nothing special about it came across in the translations I read. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Famous quotes: <em>O tempora!
